Evolution of this website, over the years...
The first looks of Viggie : 2000

The very first Viggie website was hosted in a free server. This site is still available on the net. Even though I've splashed a message saying that the site is old and Viggie.com is the latest site, I got a few enquiries through this site as latest as 2005. The site is available here http://vb.00it.com
Designed for 640 x 480 pixels to play safe. Arial font is used and font size is slightly bigger for easy readability. The design & write-up is intended for people new to the internet. The snippets like three boxes at the bottom was really handy.
Liquid boxes for full screen : 2001

I found the curved bottom of the previous design limits me to a fixed width site. So I wanted a 'liquid design' for the site. By liquid site, I mean the site that stays full screen on all resolutions.
I've kept even the boxes in the page as liquid. So when the browser is re-sized while displaying the site, the content boxes adjust themselves nicely, and horizontal scroll will not show up right from 640 x 480 pixel width to any higher resolution.
The buttons looked like small banners. And separate color content box for each section is maintained throughout the site.
Go green! : 2001

In my urge to get out of the fixed width design, the site was focussed on fully liquid content boxes. But the overall impact is not very pleasing. The looks were sharper than the first one but too many colours.
So, I decided to use shades of single colour. There are many reasons to choose Green. Also it's time I showed some of my portfolio prominently. Heaped some of my site designs with a mouse on top to create the home graphic. I still prefer to continue with this concept look. External style sheets were used.
Dual colors : 2003

The site has received good reviews. But it has been nearly two years and time to update it. Decided to change the plain green background to white at the top and bottom with a light shade of yellow-green for the content area. The logo, graphics and buttons were all retained.
Also, the content goes full screen and too-wide to read in 1024 x 768 and 1280 x 1024 resolutions. So the home page content get's a highlighter box. This helped to show the content prominently while reducing the content width.
Table-less design : 2004

A big revamp. The entire site structure, looks were changed. The logo is retained with some modifications. The collage still stays but much smaller in size and sharper.
The entire site is built without tables and design and content were separated. The design is carried entirely in the external style sheet and by changing the style sheet, the site design can be completely new.
This will help in using different designs for different screens like Computer, PDA, Mobile and also the print view is entirely different from the screen view.
Back to classic : 2005

Smooth and Corporate Look.
Decided to get smooth and corporate style look. The design looks simpler, but very efficient. I was able to write long pages.
Each page have an individual graphic.
Used b2evolution - multi-blog software to run viggie.com : 2007

Site using b2evolution
Changed from individual html / php pages to a blog software. Found the b2evolution very convenient for multiple blogging. This time, I am using a layout designed by James Koster for b2evolution, and slightly tweaked to match my preference.
There is no need to significantly alter this layout as I find it much to my liking.
The present : 2007...
I've seen Drupal CMS in it's initial years. But at that time my favourite CMS was Post Nuke. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much the Drupal has evolved! It is a joy as it allows to customize any way we like. After using it for a client, I couldn't stop myself from converting my site to Drupal.
So here it is..., I allowed myself a blog. Eventhough this site ran briefly on b2evolution, the content were strictly like regular web pages.
